Far North roots since 1906

Founded in 1906, Awanui Rugby Football Club is based north of Kaitāia. Its rugby opportunities bring players and their community together.

A centenary to gather around

The club marked its hundredth year with centenary celebrations on 24–26 March 2006. Its commemorative programme puts the club’s places and memories on the page, preserving a milestone for those who came back and those still to pull on the jersey.

A place to belong

The club’s purpose reaches beyond the next result. It gives people a shared focus, a team to support and a place in the rugby community.
