A name woven through Waikato finals.
From its educational roots to thirteen Breweries Shield winning seasons, blue and white runs through Waikato rugby history.

Blue and white since 1923
Fraser Tech was founded in 1923 by Whampoa Fraser. Its educational beginnings became a lasting Waikato rugby tradition, carried in the club’s blue-and-white colours. The 2023 centenary book brings that hundred-year story together.
Thirteen winning seasons
Tech’s Breweries Shield record spans 1971, 1975, 1976, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1995, 1996, 2000, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2021. The 1988 championship was shared with Hamilton Old Boys. These are generations of teams, rather than a single golden era.
Success through the grades
The Premier Development side won the Rowe Cup in 2025. Women’s, under-21, under-85kg and presidents rugby also form part of the club, keeping several routes into the game alongside its premier tradition.
