The welcome after the whistle.

At Hora Hora Domain, rugby, whānau and the after-match gathering belong in the same story.

A Whangārei home since 1922

Founded in 1922, Hora Hora is based at Hora Hora Domain on Te Mai Road in Whangārei. Rugby, family and the welcome after a match are central to its identity.

A championship centenary

Hora Hora celebrated its centenary over 24–26 June 2022. That season its women won the Rana Paraha Trophy for the 19th time, beating Te Rarawa 36–12 in the final after an unbeaten campaign. Women’s rugby gave the club a remarkable chapter to add to its hundred-year history.

People behind the jersey

Representative players including Janet Heenan and Leilani Perese are part of Hora Hora’s history. So are the coaches, supporters and volunteers whose work makes club rugby possible.
