Auckland’s championship standard

Founded in 1874, Ponsonby has won the Auckland championship more often than any other club. Its honours connect generations of players with one of the country’s best-known club traditions.

Women at the heart of the story

Ponsonby entered Auckland’s first women’s club rugby competition in 1986. The Fillies and the club’s Black Ferns have written their own chapters in that history.

The next generation

Junior, senior, girls and inclusive rugby pathways make room for different journeys into the game. The club’s strength carries from the teams on the field to those returning to coach, encourage and support.
